Kokosing Nature Preserve is Central Ohio's first and only conservation burial ground. Located in the picturesque countryside of Gambier, Ohio, the preserve was established by the Philander Chase Conservancy, Kenyon College's land trust. Kokosing Nature Preserve offers a natural, or green, burial setting on 23 acres of native prairie and woodlands. Green burial emphasizes simplicity and a return to nature, while dramatically conserving natural resources.
